01About
Builder, researcher, creative

I'm Zenji, a Business Administration student at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business with minors in Science, Technology, and Society and Global Digital Infrastructures. I'm part of the inaugural 4-year Haas Spieker Business Program cohort, and will be studying abroad at The London School of Economics for the 2026-2027 academic year.
I've worked in ecommerce operations at TikTok Shop's Collectibles Central Campaigns team, supported undergraduate research on data center impacts, worked abroad at a non-profit in Copenhagen, Denmark as a Marketing Analytics Intern, and more. I find the intersection of technology, sustainability, and entrepreneurship intriguing!
Outside of professional and academic work I practice kendo (a Japanese Martial Art), rock climb, tinker with technology, and make specialty coffees like espresso and pour overs. I've also modified watches, built pens, video edited, support Folding@home, and make art (check it out here).

04The board
Modeled on a split-flap board in the lobby of the Seattle Art Museum — analog, and whirring quietly as the letters turn over. Most of the lines are from Dead Poets Society, which changed how I think and what I value; the rest are counts from the archive and whatever I last wrote.
